The Maasai

In my last post, I talked about the Maasai and the ceremonial dance they did for us. I wanted to get in to just a little more detail and share some additional pictures as they were about the most colorful photos from the whole trip. That is because the Maasai dress in bright red colors and where lots of beads. One of our spotters,  Kashenko ole Maasai, was a Maasai of about 40 years in age. He looked 60. He was a very astute business man as he not only was the one who first brought out beads for sale when Nancy wanted to shop, but also arranged for the dancers we watched. I am sure he got a cut from every transaction that happened between us or the guides and any of the Maasai in our camp.

The images here are more of the Maasai from the night we watched the ceremonial dancing.
